Uncle Jake home for Christmas

Uncle Jake and Aunt Michelle came home for Christmas. Uncle Jake is going to be deployed after the first of the year but since Aunt Michelle is going to have a baby she doesn't have to go this time. That's good cause she has already been in Iraq once. They gave me a camera of my very own and I've been taking lots of pictures and videos. Here are some videos of me, Daddy, and Uncle Jake singing. I am going to try and post some more blogs while we are out of school for the holidays.

Me and Uncle Jake sing "Don't Take The Girl"

Me, Uncle Jake, and Daddy singing the very last part of "Almost Home"

Granna almost didn't get this video. It's all of us singing Honky Tonk BaDonk a Donk...Watch Gage. He is playing the game Farkle on my daddy's Face Book page. He is so funny!

Sports and Stuff

We get real hot sometimes when we play baseball, but it's all good fun!

The umps do need glasses (sometimes.)

I can put that ball wherever I need to even second base!

Daddy helped coach Gage's team.

Gage at third base. State Tournament.

Gage, heading to home plate

It's gonna be a home run!

He might be little but he is powerful. Yep, that's my little brother!

We wrote our name in the sand on the beach during vacation. Cool, huh?

That's me in action...too bad the guy was safe. I was sure I had him.

Pound that ball!

I love being the catcher!

Let me at 'em!

My little brother and my cousin played on the same team. They were undefeated!

Me, Gage, Wesley, and Victoria at the driving range. Victoria decided she didn't like golf afterall. She got too hot and Wesley is doing good now that he has some left handed clubs.

My Summer Vacation

School starts again on Wednesday and I am so glad. It feels like I have been grounded from homework! I will be in the third grade this year and Gage will be in kindergarten.

This year I have two teachers for the first time. Mrs. Clark is my home room teacher and she teaches math, which is my favorite subject by the way. Mrs. Clark was my first grade teacher and I really liked her then. Mrs. Harris is my other teacher. I never had her before.

I played baseball on the Red Sox team. We had a pretty good year and I made the All Star team and we were pretty good, too. It won't be long and football season will begin and of course, I will be playing. My brother Gage will be playing pee wee football for the first time. He is a little guy but he is real fast and real MEAN. He'll need to be to get away from the bigger kids.

Our house got broken into when we were in ElDorado at Gage's regional baseball tournament. We are lucky that our mom was spending the night at her friend's house. They took our Wii, our big screen TV, some cash, some jewelry, and one of our daddy's guns. That barrell is clogged up...I sure hope they don't try and shoot it or somebody is gonna get hurt! Can you believe they even stole our season passes to Wild River Country? That's just plain wrong!

They tired to kick in the door but they couldn't so they got a cinder block and threw it through the back door. Glass was everywhere! There were tons of foot prints and finger prints all over the house and the yard. It is a good thing Daddy's grass seed didn't grow too well and it rained because the foot prints in the yard showed up real good. You should see the foot print on our back door. You can even tell what kind of shoe it is! I sure hope the polic catch these guys. We got an alarm now so next time....someone is going to the slammer!

But not too long after that we went on Vacation. I worked at the market with Granna to earn some money for our vacation. I only got $14.00. We went to Gulf Shores, Alabama first with Mr. Tod, Ms. Casey, Spencer and Shane. Our Papaw Ray and his cousin met us there. I learned how to surf and skim board...that was so fun! We went to the go cart track and it had a lot of other neat stuff there. That picture at the top is of us playing water wars in the bumper boats. They even had sky coasting where you put on a harness and they raise you up like a hundred feet in the air, then someone pulls a string and you just drop. I did not try that! We saw tons of jelly fish while we were riding the jet ski in the bay.

Next we headed off to Destin, Florida where we stayed two days with Braden and Logan and thier parents Ms. Michelle and Mr. Brook. We ate at Joes Crab Shack and Fudpucker's. I liked Fudpucker's the best cause it was the first time I went there. I had shrimp at Joes and it was pretty good. We ate breakfast at I-Hop. It was a great vacation!

Granna got me some new golf clubs for my birthday and for working with her. In just a little while we are going to the golf course. We are waiting for Wesley to wake up so we can take him with us. It will be my last outing of the summer with Granna before school starts. I can hardly wait!

"Granna, are you ready to go yet? How about now? No?... now? FINALLY!"

Uncle Jake Graduates Army Military Police Training

Me, Daddy, and Gage went to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri to see Uncle Jake graduate military police training for the Army. It was cool. We got to the hotel about 12 midnight and had to get up real early the next morning. It was so much fun! I got to meet some of his army buddies and then we went to the Bass Pro Shop in Springfield on the way home. Here are some of the pictures we took and a video of the ceremony. It was so cool!

That's me and my uncle...Private Kyzer goofing off before he introduced me to some of his battle buddies. He graduated January 15 and is stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri now.

Daddy had to check his messages before everyone got sat down and had to turn off their cell phones and be quiet.

Gage was acting silly for the camera before the ceremony started.

Uncle Jake is the second one from the right, the rest are his Army buddies. I can't remember thier names...I think one is named Anderson.

Uncle Jake got an award for hitting a target 48 out of 50 times with his 9mm pistol. That means he's an expert! He did good on hand grenades and his machine gun, too! That's what those medals are.

Me, Daddy and Gage at the Bass Pro Shop in Springfield, MO on our way back home. Man that was a big ole bear and it was a big store! They even had two restaurants there!

Oh well, I'm having problems downloading the video. I will try it again later.

I Got My First Duck!

Jeff, Tommy, Daddy, me, little Tommy, Sampson, and Gage going on our duck hunt. I was the only one who got a duck! Gage got to bring Sampson home from school because he was the good astronaut for the week. But Daddy made him keep Sampson in the car while we were hunting.

Here I am with the guys showing off my duck and my new 20 gage youth model shotgun. And Gage is using my old 4/10. I'm such a nice brother I let him have it.

Duck hunting sure is fun. I had to show everyone the first duck I shot with my new gun.

The FIRST duck EVER! I'm trying to get Bruno to pose for a picture with me.

Me and my duck hunting dog, Bruno. He's trying to retrieve it again!
